I ordered the orginal chrome emblems off of a 1948 Chevy Panel Van so it is going to look real retro! I plan to cut the pins off the back that held them on originaly and use automobile adhesive tape I will post pictures when they come in.

 

I got my 1948 emblems in and installed, I used Automotive double sided adhesive tape and you would have to use a crowbar now to get them off!

Thanks I think they look real Retro and they were only $12.00 with shipping. I had to cut the tabs off but I used my Dremmel and it was simple.

 

Those are the original emblems I purchased first. The winter season we just had in Chicago was not good for those emblems. That is why I purchased the plastic emblems. The chrome emblems are nice if you live in a area that doesn't have harsh winters. In the spring I will change the chrome metal emblems to the plastic emblems.

 

Mr Blue these are off a 1948 Chevy Panel and are original emblems I would think if you got ones like that if they can last 60 years and still look like the do you should have no problems.
