Hey Marc,

I Really Applaud Your Efforts ! Sure Would Look Cool if You Could find the Letters in Capitals !

Roger that Kevin. I thought about that, and found some "Hot Rod" chrome letters that could be used. http://www.thehotrodgirl.com/smartscript.html However, they don't have that cool lower continuous bar, and don't really match. In fact, I am not sure how you would make one capital "H" in script flow into another one? Maybe Tom would have an idea? The factory "Nomad" and "BelAir" don't help us much for letters.
I really like the way Chevy used that cool font for the factory scripts. I thought the lower case ones would make a cool companion to a Chevrolet script on the hatch lid. If anyone has ideas, please let me know. Mutton Hollow can produce metal ones if I can provide a prototype.
God Bless, Marc

Thumbs down Failure

Well folks, it's a no-go on my end. After pondering the situation, I decided that Kevin is right, it should be in all capital letters. I went online, searched out "connected script" fonts, and came up with the correct style caps to use. Time to make one from scratch as a prototype......well, no. I bought 1/4" bras rod, ground it to the correct troichoidal (think Wankle rotor) shape. That was harder than it sounds. Here's the problem.....once ground to shape, it twists when you try to bend it. It is for someone way more talented than I am. Mark Brewer of Mutton Hollow Chevy parts can make "HHR" scripts for us if someone can do a prototype. It isn't me unfortunately. Perhaps someone with jewelry talents? Abject failure on my end. I'm sorry folks. Marc

Question Any jewelers or modelers out there? Help? Photos added...

Hi Folks, Mark Brewer of Mutton Hollow is still interested in producing chrome metal connected-script "HHR" logos to match our vintage Chevrolet scripts. We need a prototype from which to cast. I tried mocking one up from brass rod, but my talents are small and the project failed. I have researched the connected script fonts and came up with two rough sketches (see below). I sort of favor the lower one as it looks cleaner. I can make scale drawings if someone can do the prototyping work. Please let me know. God Bless, Marc
