Regardless of where you purchased the mesh you used, it looks really good. Doesn't look "cheap" like some of the mods I've seen around here...

ok, heres the finish....and the steps, in case you are interested....lots of pics!

i tries to use just the factory grill parts for a clean finish...

I know its tough to see....but that mesh isnt flat, and wasnt easy to shape....

heres the bottom bar, the mesh is cut and bent down pretty tight for the seam to line up...

top shield fits good except in the bottoms corners....

so.......

heres what it took me almost 4 hours to get with some fiddling around....

the back side....

and finally- the bow tie! TA-DA !!!!

How did you go about filling in the areas where the cross bars of the grille were cut out? Fiberglass/Bondo?

The more I look at this grille (and the rest of your car for that matter) the more I like it. The fact that you made this inexpensive grill yourself makes it all the better. Very subtle; very understated; very nice.

Man I really like that alot! My favorite of all the custom grills. All you need now is a lower to match.

And whats wrong with Home Depot?

Don't listen to the H8TRS!

I think it looks great! and the fact you made it yourself makes it even better. Those that are bashing you are just envious of the awesome job you did!

I was wondering the same thing. This might be the mod I try next, since I won't be doing much painting in Midwest wintertime

Your grille is amazing and I'd love to make mine look exactly like that.
