YES - I've been looking at dashmat myself and they do look nice. Which color looks good with our light grey/dark grey interiors - the lighter one?

I was just going to ask about custom embroidery - & if they are thin enough material for it - looks like you have answered my question. I have a friend who did my headrests and she's done thick car seats too, so I could match my headrests.

Yes, there's a flap that covers that center compartment!

I bought a dash mat last Thursday at the local "thieves market". Was absolutely cheap at $20. But, it isn't bad looking and I have certainly paid more for less quality items.

All openings, flaps for the glove box and the air bag, stitched and bound aroung the edges, etc. seem to be located properly. It's made from a gray material that is similar in texture to the carpet, but a little thicker.

I figure, I'll see if it produces the results that I wish. If it does, I'll get rid of it and get a "good" one.

Dash Mat

Wanted to let everyone know how pleased I was with a standard Dash Mat brand cover. Fits like a glove and they provided ample velcro for attachment.

I have a grey interior and orderd the Grey cover, looks great.

P.S picked mine up from Auto Anything on the web.

Five year old thread but glad to hear you like your dash mat. I got a velour mat and love it. Two plus years ive had it.
I went with the dark red. I know it doesnt match the other reds but i like the contrast.

My 86 camaro definitely needed a dashmat. But my 97 f150 and my 07 HHR do not, and why you might ask? Well that's because they do not have a vinyl dash. So because to me they look out of place, and because I know my dash will never crack and peel like the camaro did, I won't bother.
