Dash Kits
Dash Kits
I'm not sure if there is a thread about this so here goes. I'm just wondering if any of you have this dash kit in your HHR, and just to tell you I didn't pay that much for mine.

Mine is on the way. Got the brushed Alum. I just need to know if it will stay on the car when it gets cold out or anything like that. Also can you still take the dash and all other parts apart. Thanks.

I know someone posted here before that they purchased the dash kit but never posted back on how the installation went. I myself will be getting an orange dash kit in the near future. Let us know how your installation went when you finally receive your stuff (with pictures of course!).
Kits are pretty easy to install. I purchased a paintable surface kit to paint it to match the body color. Maj Amethyst--- I also painted the grey strip in the door panels Amethyst.
I really like the improvement to the looks and it fit pretty well. There are several kits out their some with more pieces.
I think I'd go with the woodgrain only with the tan interior not the grey. Sorry if yours is grey. Just my taste.

I did a Sherwood Wood kit and really agonized over aluminum but NONE of the samples on the web pages looked good enough to make a choice for it ..
the install is straightforward .. just prepare the surfaces as the manufacture recommends , and heat(warm up) the inserts m I laid mine out in the sun and they were good to go. the only problem are I had was around the radio the piece was split and the "legs" wanted to flop around I have pix posted in the members section
