dent ripples

Don't know what else to call them. I see them in the tops of my front fenders, primarily near the rear, 2 or 3 close together, both sides. Is this a snafu during GM assembly? No dents on my ride (yet) except for these. Guess I should try to load a pic.

I believe it's the thin thin metal the auto manufacturers are using these days. I had a tree branch on my hood and put 3 small dents on it. Some one else once posted that their son, playing ball fell against their car and dented it.

Yes it seems that the fender tops are vulnerable to denting without too much effort, never lean on them if you can avoid it. I had a set of ripples "installed" on my left front by the tech at the dealership, the paintless dent removal folks worked them back out.

Yeah, I put 3 little dings in my hood from leaning on it to clean the windshield.

I dropped my EMPTY Nalgene water bottle and it dinged my car. I can actually feel the door skins get pushed in during the car wash.

Yeah, I love my HHR's but I really think you could stamp both of them out of the steel in just the hood of my '67.

I had some unfriendly walnuts last fall.... I haven't gotten around to working the dents out yet....... Fender will be a piece of cake once I remove the inner fender well, but the hood I can't get at from the inside..... This stuff is thin.

My white panel went through a real bad hail storm and got beat up pretty bad. I was thinking of just getting a ball peen hammer and go around the sides of the car and match what the hail did on the top and then just call it my golf ball. But I decided to get it fixed and had the shop paint ghost flames on the hood, every one who sees them likes them.
