Door Mirror removal Question

So I bought my SS used and it had these extra mirrors attached to the stock mirrors. I am assuming they are stuck on with tape. any ideas on how to remove them without damaging the stock mirror. I tried to pull them off by hand but they are really on there good. thanks

Try dental floss or thin fishing line. Be very careful

I did try fishing line. But because the mirror is recessed into the housing you can't get in there flush. Never thought of dental floss. Floss is a bit more flexible. Thanks

An option I tried was a piece of mirror from eBay cut to the right size just glues on top of what was left of the old piece. You might give hellshotrod a PM he has a yard full of donors.

Or, you might consider this while you are at it https://www.ebay.com/p/2x-12v-Car-Wi....c100008.m2219

Got the new mirror glass. I bought both sides. I pryed off the mirror out. Which actullay come out of the housing pretty easy. Then took a heat gun and got it hot. Then scrapped off the old glass with a putty knife. The new mirror glass came with adhesive pads. Only took about a half hour to do both. Saw a video on youtube, which helped.
