Heated side mirrors conversion with pics

I did my Heated side mirrors conversion very simple, bought two heated mirrors from this seller on Ebay:
CHEVROLET HHR 2005 - 2010 ASPHERICAL BLIND HEATED 12V MIRROR GLASS Left Side | eBay
Then i connected the mirrors wires with a 10 amp fuse on each to the fat "PPL" wire to the rear window defogger, situated on the driver side in the corner below the panel.

Drilled a small hole in the mirror from the side that is screwed to the door and placed the 2 wires with a female connector.

Then from the male connector those 2 wires in to the door and out to under panel.

Works perfectly, it is just to push the rear window´s defogger switch.

Any chance you have pictures of removing the mirror? Or instructions at least.

Here's a video for a 2003 Suburban. I'm going to say it's the same for the HHR.

The link he gave for the heated mirror only said for the left side. But he did left and right.
Also how did he run the right wires to the left kick panel area to tie into the purple rear defroster wire.
Heated mirrors would have been a nice option from GM.

Here is the wiring diagram, and why to not wire directly to the switch.

I can see where you would have a "bang your head in the wall moment" if you did it any other way.
I do like those replacement full size spot mirrors.
$45 a hit is a shocker.
