if you buy the vinyl things off ebay they dont cover the whole bowtie. be careful. some gold will show at edges.

I did an outline like this with tracing paper--before I start cutting my vinyl, my question is how far up in the crack of the fender did you go? was the vinyl flush to the light or did you have some little creases since it is curved? From the pic, it looks very smooth.
This is exactly what Don and I want to do, if not this, we thought about using an airbrush to put the 'eye liner' on instead
Forgot to take said outline to our last event to show--got chewed out for it![Embarrassment](https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/images/smilies/redface.gif)
Thanks!

@ngelita
i just stuck held the vinyl up there.. and eyeballed where the two
fender cracks were... and then just free hand cut across to get
the bottom edge there. then i stuck the vinyl to the light. there was then
an extra 1'' or so hangin over at the top. i cut it it with the top edge of light
and folding a 1/2'' inch the crack/fender so u cant see top of light..
for a 5 min mod and only costin a few dollars. i dont see how you can go
wrong.. but ive been doing vinyl graphic designs and installs for a while now and messing with that stuff. so i enjoy it.
im thinkin bout makin a cool vinyl design for my AA5 delete panels
what ya;ll think.. any ideas of what to design/put back there??!

Vinyl sheets...
I found some at the local Hobby Lobby for about $1.50 a sheet. One sheet will do most of the trim work. I bought 2 and covered everything, but having never done this before I had to redo a couple of the S's.

I think I'll try it your way, HalfPanel08--put on as close to where I want it, and eyeball the cutting. Wish I could find my drafting tools!

. I did a mock-up the other day and it was pretty ok for a first time go--will try and do again this weekend--the exacto makes a huge difference and I think I can get it right the second time. Have to figure out the small bubble issues...

make sure car is not hot.. park in garage or in shade.
pull off the vinly from one corner and start applying
slowly and press down in a slanted motion.. and never
pull it back up and re-apply... not good! lol
