Me too. I tried with vinyl but decided if I was going to do flames I needed to do them right in paint. The vinyl just wasn't cutting it. The etched glass vinyl flames looked good but kind of cheap.

I am going to put flames on my HHR. I have been searching around for idea's and think i am going to go with a full front back to the end of the front doors. Starting silver, going to pink, going to red. I'll post pics when i get it done. Hopefully will be in the next few weeks. :)

It's black. I have had 3 other black vehicles and i promised myself i would never get another one! Apparently i lied. But i figured this is the vehicle i will be keeping at least until it's paid for so if i'm going to get black, i'm going to do something cool to it, that will definately stop me from trading it in. I was going to paint my Colorado pink but it cost too much. I'm really looking forward to this. If you couldn't tell!

I have a black 59 chevy and said I wouldn't get another black one, so I got orange. Good luck with the paint.

I have had many black cars over the years and I have the HHR and a Saturn Vue thats black. Still a classic color and if you keep one polished and waxed is still one of the best looking rides in the road. Good success with the flames.

Yeah, i'm happy with the black. I'm hoping the weather warms up a little so i can hand wash it. i hate going to car washes. Thanks, hopefully there are no set backs and my ride will have flames in no time. I meet with the painter on May 5th.....

when i bought my colorado i wanted orange but there were none to be found, in a 5 speed crew cab anyways. So i bought an orange motorcycle instead. I figured since i knew i wanted to do flames, i was going to get a white HHR and do "perfect pink" flames on it but there wasn't a single white HHR within 500 miles of me.. so i got black.

Well so much for that! The person who was SO EXCITED to paint my flames decided it was too much work and referred me to someone else. ARGH!! I have to say i am very annoyed. I guess i'm just going to go with Vinyl only that would be much easier if Yipes auto was open past 2 p.m. on saturday!!! (venting a little here).
