It was the fumes that made me do it. Painted the grill

I was helping a friend paint his wheels and emblems on his Jetta and I don't know if it was the fumes from the paint, the beer or both, but I wanted to paint something on my ride too. So.... I did. I had the lava logo goin on with the bowtie and I already painted the rear, so it was time to do the front.

I masked the chrome around the bowtie and primered the entire thing.

After 3 coats of black and 2 of clear, the finished product:

A better close up:

Next on the list is to smooth out the plastic around the mirrors and in the black section of the front bumper so I can gloss those also.

Looks good - nicely balanced with the black wheels. How about the same treatment for the fog-light recesses (and throw some fog-lights in there - ie: why stop now - LOL)?

Nice job.

Hmmmm.... that would look pretty cool. Soooo many possibilities. I don't wanna over do it though. Subtle and elegant that's what I have planned for her.
