garage door opener

Since ther is no real good place to put my garage door opener... I was thinking about installing one of those programable one like in my wife Honda min van that come from the factory... Or I use see alot of advertisments in motorcyle magazines for one you mount under the seat of a motorcycle and you have to mount a push button some where.. But Ill be darned if i cant find an ad in any motorcycle magazine this month...

ANybody tried anything like this... I was thinking about going to a salavage yard and trying recycle one out of a Honda or something..

Hello,
Gentex (GM OEM) makes a mirror with HomeLink. You can program 2 buttons on the mirror to open your garage or turn on house lights. I was thinking of installing one. I have one on my SSR and love it. The Gentex mirrors have many options and are very pricy so I would sugest you try to find a used one off ebay.

My garage door opener is clipped to the visor. What else are the visors good for? You can't use them with the small windshield and they won't lay flat anyway.

are you familiar with this skylink, if you get everthing you need for under $30 that looks like the ticket... I was looking around in th hhr today thinking how to mount something.. I was thinkiing about drilling a hole right above the hazard button on puttin the switch there.... I will have to investigate before drilling....i think you can get in the dash via the dash storage box.. but like i said needs more investigation...........
