Well, since the Pops was the dealer!! I would highly suggest you keep all advertising LOL. I remember being broke, so just keep it real, no need to go out on a limb for a few mods, the HHR looks so good anyway you don't really need anything anyway. My next suggestion would be to go to the Regional section, and find a few events to go to. It is so fun to go see the other owners, hangout, and talk HHR's! Todd(Uma)

Thanks Todd, I figured you'd understand. I will definitely try to make it to some of the meets, maybe not until this summer though since I'll be moving up to Chicago in June, then it'll be easier to run out and meet with you guys and have some good ol' HHR fun.

Johnbegone,
You may be in a position to get with your dad and design a show car to advertise his dealership. Use magnets for you logo design. Then he gets some beneift and you have a nice ride. Check my gallery, I used a magnet ( too scared to airbrush yet).
Hope to see you build something nice.

Read the rest of the thread, can't debadge.

And to Surfer Panel, my dad is just a dealer at a large dealership. Highly doubt I can get any sort of kickdown for advertising. It's a nice thought though. I like the look of your HHR, the magnet looks good for being a magnet and all.

So I finally ordered the custom graphics for the back that I showed in the photoshop at the beginning.

I will take some pics and show it off once it all goes in. Is there a DIY thread for installing the 3rd brake light decal?

Debadge the car, leave the plate surround on if your Dad gives you grief about it. It'll look a lot cleaner. Instead of putting your Chief graphics on the rear window, I'd put 'em on the rear side windows if you're going to keep the rear wiper back there.

Also, take a trip to AutoZone and pick up an exhaust tip. Chicks dig big ones.

Somehow I missed that... but you could still keep the dealer sticker & lose the GM chicklets & the HHR badges :) In fact - that creates more room for a larger dealer ad :) Magnetic business cards, too... keep Dad employed!
