I have the same lettering on my grill. I think it adds to the retro look.

I got the bumper pads at Strauss. They were hard to find-they were constantly on order, and all they had were the silver ones. They should add a little protection, plus add black accents to the bumpers. I have them on the back, too. They fit perfectly.

The bumper on the SSR looks like it is designed to break the headlights on impact
