I just received my new stubby antenna and was going to install it yesterday.
I cannot get my old antenna mast off...I thought all that you had to do was just unscrew the mast from the base...I put a rag around the bottom of the mast and put the pliers to it...It is turning but the antenna is not coming off...What am I doing wrong?

 

It appears that the antenna mast is stripped to the base. It simply unscrews, so if it is turning but not coming off it's broke. If you are under warranty take it to your dealer and have it replaced for free.
