HHR XM Antenna

HHR XM Antenna

I keep hearing that the AM/FM antenna is also the XM antenna. If that is the case, can it be used for an aftermarket XM install?
PS My radio did not come with an XP radio.

They are not the same antenna. The XM antenna would be at the rear of the vehicle or if equipped with Onstar then that antenna would be used by XM as well.

the XM antenna is the little square-ish block like antenna on the rear of the roof, just forward of the hatch door seam.
