you can still get a ticket lol. my 55w hid's in my stock hhr housings arent too blinding. older crap housings, like on old POS ricer hondas is what blinds people. our stock housings with HID's actually have a pretty decent cutoff line i must say.

I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket from a dealer installed frame. Some of the aftermarket, it would hurt my feelings....

"Aren't too blinding" you say.... I see people every day on the road, I leave for work at 5:30am. It's so easy to spot those with HID's in normal housings, the glare is usually terrible. Especially those that want to go with 8K or higher bulbs. 99.9% of the time I can't flash back due to traffic in front of me, they are already seeing what I see and I don't want them to get blinded from behind also.

Plate frames illegal?
Never heard that before.....Only ones I know that are illegal are ones that have lenses/covers the actual cover face of the plate..... even clear ones are illegal

If they cover up any of the writing, they "can" be classified as illegial. But the odds of that actually happening.

If the frame covers the registration stickers it could be grounds for being pulled over at least....... If the cop wants to push it there could be a ticket. Depends on if the doughnut shop closed down or not.

can still get a ticket for it though even though its not likely.

have you ever seen an HHR with HID's, in person? we're talking about HHRs, not other cars.

Yeah, what is real here?

I have heard that HID bulbs in stock housings blind opposing drivers, and I've heard from others that they are fine. I don't know who to believe, so I am taking the conservative approach. I am still waiting for someone to offer to put a full HID assembly, rather than just bulbs, into stock lights at a fair price.
