hidden hitch

Has anyone installed a hidden trailer hitch yet? I bought one last week and it looks like not to bad to install, but I'am waiting to use a buddies hoist this weekend. The instructions say for the hhr only on frame hole needs to be drilled to a larger size. Don't plan on hauling a very big trailer, maybe something like the Prowler type trailer and maybe a bike holder.

I installed one a couple of weeks ago. I did it on the flat ground. Once you move the muffler out of the way, it's easy. The one hole only needs to be slightly enlarged. The only PITA is using the wire to threading the bolts/spacers through. It's easy, but a pain at the same time. I did it alone, but another hand would definately be helpful.

Also gave a good spot to place one the SoCalHHR decals.

On the mufflers did you have to disconnect them or just remove the rubber holders and push it down out of the way?

Just pull them off the hangers It will move out of the way then. I think you had to pull three of them. Hopefully your "Hidden Hitch" decal is level. Looked like mine was put on by a 3 y/o. I pulled it off.

Installed myself with my brother, additional hands a big plus, a lift a big plus.

As previously stated, drop muffler just by un-hooking rubber mounts, just one hole needs enlarging, fish bolt & washer through frame (trickiest/pain in butt process), tighten up hitch, and reconnect muffler.

I use mine for bike rack, works good, car is lowered, have to ba cautious on some uneven drive-ways!

Does the hitch use the same mounting holes as the sway bar or does it attach someplace else?
