Holmes Hot Ride latest Additions

This is probably the last additions for a while. I have got as close to the look of the 49 as possible with out spending a fortune.

Gold Ghevrolet emblems
Chrome accents around tail lights, running board and rear bumper.
Running lights over the running board
Chrome strips on fenders, front and rear.

It may not be what some of you young guys go for, but I like it because it takes me back to my first car. A 49 fleetwood Chevrolet.

Actually, I kind of like it. But then again, I'll be 51 in a couple of weeks.

Im a big fan. Did you do the rails yourself, or are the easily available? Where did you score the old school emblems?

Yes I did the rails myself and the Chevrolet emblem came from Danchuck. They specilalize in 55 thru 57 Chevy parts. The emblems actually go on a 55 Chevy.

Thanks, Howdy
I have had a couple people ask me if it was one of the new hybrid cars. It does look different from most HHR's. I have a friend that said; I should have a machine gun hanging in the back window.

Tomorrow I have to preach a funeral and I will be the lead car behind the Hurse on the way to the grave site. Do you think that will get some looks?
