Inside Door Trim
I’m sure this has been asked before, but here goes. I would like to trim in chrome around the inside of the door around the armrest (the C I call it). Do I need to take the whole door off panel? Any help? Thank you!
I did not take the door panel off. BUT one problem you might run into, "Will it stay"? Without useing anything extra to hold the chrome on you might have problems. The rough surface inside the car makes it tough.
I will be pulling mine off and redo. I think CJ found something that might work and is not messy, I will look for that post and edit once I find, unles Deb is on and beats me to it.

After you clean and prep, you may want to install some trim..........here is a link to try. This is the same stuff CJ Krause and CourtHouseDeb have tried.

If you're going to do this, you need to get something to help promote adhesion on the doors. Mine stayed for a while and then slowly came off and I have removed it all now. Bought the chrome trim at Pep Boys and it takes to packages to do all 4 doors and leaves a little bit left over. I got some of that stuff that CJ suggested (3M Tape Promoter) from NAPA, but haven't done anything yet...been close to and over 100 here and I'm not gonna do it in that kind of heat. Will let you know when I've redone it and we'll see how it sticks the 2nd time around.
The 3m bond adhesive for chrome from Wallmart works just fine. You just have to be careful about overage. Use alchohol to clean excess off. If you use it, you will have to spread it on the whole strips of chrome and not just the sections where it comes loose.

Sounds like yours might just push into the seams. I'd try a small piece and see how it goes.
