What is the best type of paint to use for the inside of the headlights? I would like to use black, so it would go with the color of my car..

 

I used plastic adhesion promoter then regular duplicolor gloss black. I also sanded first, but one of my headlights is starting to bubble in small area. So I'm not really sure what to tell you. Seems like most of the cobalt guys do something similar to what I did. You'll probably get different results depending on the preparation, paint, how much you use the lights, how you sealed the housings, etc.

OH, nice. I see you used tyc lights. Good Idea. That is probably the best bet. The OEM headlights don't really come apart. I have tried a couple time and only got one apart. They have this rubbery hard sealent. (I work at a place and take headlights apart for a living) The one I got apart took like 4 trips to the oven and the housing looked like crap after. lol. Maybe I will look into tyc lights. I think my company gets tyc lights at the wholesale price, so that is all they would charge me.
