Well if he plans to change them, why was the money on leather?

Now if it is something he does not plan on doing for a while then maybe go with leather till he has them done.

But I still say why waste the money if you plan to change them out.

I have the grey cloth and wish daily that I had gotten leather. I am actually going to my dealership on a warranty claim on staining. The cloth will actually water stain. Luckily I purchased an interior protection warranty...I will not buy the cloth on my next HHR.

Don't you get a few more options with the leater seats, like 8 way power adjustable vs 6 way, and seat heater as well. He plans on recovering not replacinig the seats.

Just heated seats, they adjust the exact same. If you are going to get Katskinz and don't care about heated seats get cloth. There is no difference in the actual seats other than the material covering them and the seat heater.

I'm not sure but I do believe that you can also order a heater package through Katzkins. Promotion Tuning has a heater package for under $200 for both seats.

Hi All,
Thanks for all the welcomes
In reference to the material, I guess my concern was that in articles I had read (C&D I think), they made mention to the fact that the leather seats offered more support and more cushion. Does anyone know if there is any difference in seat padding in the two? Heat seems to be sold alongside the Katzkin covers, so that doesn't really seem to be an issue.

Thanks again!

Yes they feel different. Better/worse? Personal opinion. Take a seat in both and make a judgement.

I test drove both a leather and cloth HHR before settling on cloth. I didn't see of feel any difference in the padding or bolstering. I truly think the only difference between the two is material and seat heaters. Here is a comparison:

They are the exact same seats in every aspect other than the material.
