Nice....I have been going back and forth in what direction I want to go with for the tail lights, this helps alot, now i just wanna see some pics of the black ones...

You guys do know pics of the 4 colors are up on maggies site? Its not hard to picture them on your hhr, or even do a quick cut and paste pic.
Chad, the red looks quite dark, so I think both red or black would look great.
Though I wish they did a dark surround for the backup lights.

yeah we do (at least most of us i hope lol), but with lighting and such, my concern is being able to tell exactly how dark the smoked lense really is. if a picture is taken with more or less light available, the smoked lenses will look lighter or darker, so i want to see a set installed so i can compare color darkness between the lenses and a black car. if i can see them on any color, i can see how dark they look based on that particular paint color, as i know what the colors look like in person. see what i'm getting at?

 

Understand..
I went with clear... so body color / light wouldn't affect the look..
Also I'll know the lights will be seen when emitted...

 

hvrod, i like the look of the clear on yours. however on a black car IMO they would look a little on the "rice" side for my taste. others may love that look, but it's not for me. i'm planning on accenting a lot of the car with carbon fiber, so i think the smoked look would look good with it, as cf has kind of a greyish look to it, at least from a mild distance. probably won't find a lot of actual cf stuff for it, but i plan on doing some cool stuff with the cf look vinyl, and anything i can get custom made from cf will be added as well. if i had the money, i'd learn to make my own stuff from cf...yeah...lol.

that reminds me...someone said smething somewhere about carbon fiber bowties...i know it was on these boards, but i don't remember where it was...anyone have any details where to look?

IPCW shipped the lights out to me on THURSDAY the 22nd. FedEx tracking # 386652930270601 shows the Taillights will be delivered to us on May 28th. Anyone that ordered will be shipped their taillights out on the 29th.
