Greetings,

We just installed the factory chrome roof rails on our HHR and they look awesome, really completes the chrome package. However, I'm having problems with one of the end caps. It took an act of God to get it to seat properly and even now it looks as though its loose. I'm afraid of it falling off on the freeway. Has anyone installed these and had similar problems or anyone who already had them had similar problems?

I install factory roof rack on my 08. the end caps go on kinda tuff but mine clicked in place. might need a replacment cap may not be made right.

 

You installed the actual oem side rails, not the crossbars? Was it difficult?

 

It's not too bad just have to have the guts to drill holes in your brand new vehical. it comes with the dill bit and an overlay on where to drill holes.

 

how much are the roof rails ? do they come in black?

 

Don't know the price, but mine are black and I love 'em

 

ooh. nice. if i could get some in black at a good price. i might jump on a set

 

you can order them in black,black with chrome end caps or i beleve you can get it in all chome. there about 200.00 from dealer. have not checked aftermarket.

 

Are they strong enough to hold a load even though they're installed aftermarket?
