Leather upgrade

Tried searching for this in previous posts with no luck... Now that I've got great aftermarket brakes, I want to upgrade my interior. I have the standard cloth interior. Anybody upgrade to leather for their HHR. I'd love to hear experience and costs involved with making this upgrade. As always, THANKS!!

thanks!!... I am not ashamed to admit that I can't install it myself. Any idea how much it might set me back to have it installed?

I am going in Thursday and order my Katskin leather (Tucson midnight) seats. I have wanted to upgrade to leather for awhile now, so am finally doing it!

The shop where I am going do beautiful work, they are charging me $1100.00 that is the seat covers and installation! I can't wait for them to come in and get installed.

I am not getting seat heaters though, I grew up in the 60's (I know I'm dating myself ) and don't feel I need them. When Winter hits (if we are not already moved to Arizona) I will just put sheepskin covers over them for the winter.

I will post pics as soon as they are completed.

I am glad I waited until my dealer found me the car I wanted, loaded, leather etc. as I know I would be doing this mod too.

I just ordered some katzkins: dark graphite with silver perforated inserts

Going to put them in my black/black hhr:
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/general-hhr-4/hello-my-black-hhr-2-4l-5-speed-half-meg-pics-13870/

And am going to do it myself! James @ promotion said these cars are simple. But if it takes me 4 days then so be it. I'll post some updates late next week. Prob some pics too so people can get an idea of what they are getting in to by DIY

one thing to keep in mind if you are ordering yourself is if you have side airbags or not. Diff Katzkin part#'s for the two kits. This is the thread where I learned I do NOT have the side airbags https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/general-hhr-4/side-curtain-airbags-12117/

They aren't that bad to install. The head rest are the hardest part.

I found that amusing because I remembered reading this last night:

well if the "break time" is the hard part maybe I will have it easy
