Back when they came out with the lighted rear Bowties for the Silverado's, some folks talked about trying one of them, but they are huge.
Looks like the F-body units are about HHR sized, so go for it.

An "exact fit" billet Bowtie for the Camaro measures 6.5"(L) x 0.125"(W) x 2"(H), not sure how this compares to an HHR rear Bowtie.

i found the sizing of the rear bowtie online
Dimensions: 7.5(L) x 0.125(W) x 2.5(H)
hopefuly this is right, ill measure mine tomorrow

I think I would try a red lighted one and wire it so it comes on with the brake lights.
