I read that its pretty much like sonny said. they needed to light up the window switches,so they added it. i like it. its different. kinda mood lighting....haha

Oh, and turn up the dash dimmer if you want it brighter!

I agree. It is the one thing I don't like about this car. They really need to move them cause they suck.

light in roof just rearward of rearview mirror

anyone out there know what this light is referred to as. i know it comes on when headlights come on and goes off when headlights go off bit i cannot find any referrel to this inthe handbook. maybe i'm just a stupid but people ask and i say huh????????thanks and have a great hhr drive anyday.

In answer to your question, that light is so we can see the window controls at night. Unfortunately Chevrolet saw the need to put them in a weird place and then think...now how are people supposed to see them?

You'll probably see some other funny things that people will say, so prepare yourself for some really funny stuff. HERE is one of the threads I am referring to. Another one is HERE as well. We've got quite a sense of humor here as you will see.
