Nick...that is one snazzy looking hood ornament. At first I thought putting them on an HHR would take away from the sleek lines on the hood...but after seeing Franks and now yours...I stand corrected. Looks great!!!

I would believe that the hood is made out of aluminum...
  • always step drill ( use small size, and gradually use different sizes till you reach the final size. )
  • drills don't drill true circular holes, a reamer does.
  • alodine is a good corrison preventive for aluminum (zinc chromate is another), follow up possible with touch up auto paint...
