also keep in mind, vinyl shrinks so the bigger the hole you pierce the more youll notice it in 6 months

Mine are not exactly 'ghost' flames.

I wouldn't touch those air bubble til the vinyl has had a couple weeks to set and shrink. You will be surprised as to how much vinyl shrinks.

I just ordered a pair of Chevrolet emblems from the internet...chrome ones. They have the sticking out metal tabs on them, and I guess I can file them off, right? I just want to use double faced tape to see if I like it - am trying to make my HHR look older and kind of trucky/50's. What kind of tape should I use?

Mitzkity...I would recommend 3M double sticky tape . It is prob avail at your local carparts store (May even be at Wal-mart). Be sure to clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol before you apply and be sure it is 50+ degrees F or warmer. You would prob be safe to file your "tabs" off the back. Lay your file on a table and hold your emblem in your hand to file. This way you can more better control your filing. Be patient and go slow. Use a nice wide, smoother file, not like a wraspy wood file. To save yourself some elbo greese, try carefull snipping most of the tab off with sharp wire cutters. Best of luck and please post some picts when your done.

Nice flames but here is the post on signatures just to help us dialup people.

From Form Rules and FAQ
Signatures should not be bigger than 500x100. We don’t mean to be anal about it, but many users have slow internet connection and large signatures take a long time to load.

Picture Size in Posts - If you are using the [img] tags, please make sure your pictures are not bigger then 640x480. If your pictures are larger then that, please resize them or if you can’t, just post a link. Many people are using dialup. Be respectful.
