Now Don, you realize that I paint outside, on top of a trash can, It will not be perfect! It will look good, there will be flaws when you look up close, I usaully do not clear coat, however, I think I have that down now. We can do this anytime you like. I am always here at home, or we could wait until the rear windshield wiper removal thing? Just let me know, but if you are really in a hurry, I am here after 4:00 pm all the time, a half mile from the Sonic Burger mentioned in past threads, LOL Todd (Uma)

I see you have a bowtie on the billeted grille? Did you put that on yourself? If so how???

Here are the pics of the before and after of my 3 bar grille mod... I think it came out pretty damn good. Just hate where those spacer tabs were...

Here is my grille before my mod...

Here is the final product...

I'll have one with the grille on the car as soon as I get it back from the autoshop...

Very nice job. I can tell from the pics you were very careful with detail.
How long did it take you?

It was a very long and nerve wrecking three hours... But it was worth it though!

Ok, finally got around to getting some paint.

I'm wanting your opinions on the new bowtie.

I thought about painting it black, then thought about painting it the car color or leave it like it is?

What do you think?

Quick photochop of black bowtie: Don't think it will look that good.

I am thinking of a 3 bar grille for some weeks, all of a sudden I think of this question for those who already have one. How do you open the hood? Since you have to reach through the grille for the lever, but you have a mesh behind the grille.

No reaching through grill. Go under the bottom. Slide latch over and lift.
