appearance

It looks nice. If money were no object, and installation were reliable, then I would do it because to me looks better than stock. However, every modification I have done so far at least arguably also improves something functionally. Strictly appearance modifications don't get me excited. Once one has to consider cost and potential installation problems, this would seem to be a non-starter for just about anyone.

I like that look, but as with anything fiberglass aftermarket, they never seem to fit right without modification, cutting, sanding, etc.

in the past ive dealt with ALOT of aftermarket stuff..either my own or other projects..never have i ever came across such a "major" change that would look like the factory built it..fitment issues and usually quality of material are the problems..not sure if its a steel part or fiberglass(most likely fg)but issues could be sound related(could cause some vibration)..paint chips easily on fg..especially from the underside..from the look of the front maybe even some cooling issues....for 199$ ok..but that much???not this guy...

I am not going to say that I am rich by no means but i have always wanted a show car i love the look of my HHR so much as some of you may recall this is my second one i put 60,000 miles on my first in like 18 months and i have now gotten a job that will provide me with a driver so i can make the new 2010 a show type car so with that being said i decided not to buy a true street rod like a 38 - 40 chevy so i have decided to maybe spend the money on the 2010. does anybody have an idea who would be one to do this kind of retro fit for me and do it correctly. i want the feel of the new that i have but still with some retro look also i am a fan of the redo looks that chevy has done with camero dodge and ford with the chargers and mustangs so what do you think i am totally new to this and want to also do a visor and rear spoiler. does anyone have pictures of the two that were already done.

You sound like you have the same ideas I had. Be very careful of the local shop you use also. The parts are from pteazer. They will tell you their parts are mostly bolt-ons, they are not. My rear bumper was very simple, however the front required extensive work to make it fit. That is where a good local shop is important. I'd say go to a few car shows and ask some of the folks with custom rides who did their work. My build cost WAY more than it should becuase the shop scewed me on labor making the front bumper work (each side was bowed out 2-3 inches and fiberglass just don't bend!)

Where you buy this from makes some difference but not much, it is still made by teazer. I'd be more concerned about who will do the install. If i was going to get it though, I'd give Maggie first shot. If there were any issues, I'd rather have her on my side trying to make it right.
