So far, no reception problems at all, I still get all the FM stations that I care about. I have yet to take a road trip (out of the city) to see how distance will now affect reception.

 

Have yet to try this. Was going to play around with the different height possiblities to see which I like best. But not till I get the screw shortened so they all can be judged fairly.

 

I'm not sure on these stubby antennaes. I don't want to lose reception, and some of those threads.....you really need a standard for measuring. My wife thinks that this photo shows a 6 inch measurment standard.

 

I've got a stubby on mine and it works great. Only place I have ever lost reception was in the mountains, so just turned on CD player, which I listen to alot anyway. Definitely looks better than standard fising pole in my opinion.

Got the screw shortened, less than 2 minutes by hacksaw. Will have to wait til morning for pix of it w/o the gap. Managed to get a few pix of the different height settings .............
