New grill

Here is a pic of the grill I will soon be getting. Picked up both the upper and lower off of e-bay for about $130.00. Once I add my black bow tie i think it will look pretty sharp. I will post pictures on my car after christmas.

nice grille..ull be very happy with the end result..just a reminder you may have to trim the black plastic liner behind the grille just a smidge(not much) for a good fit...god luck hope to see the pics!!

my old grill

Here is my old grill. I wanted to do a 3 bar but started cutting before my brain was on for the day. Looks nice from a distance but once you get close it looks pretty bad. Had to repaint it black 3 times already and I am done messing with it. A painted grill was not the answer with the sand they lay down on the roads in Colorado.

if you get it professionally painted it should hold up just like the paint on your bumper hood etc.

accually to be expexted..unless you use a paint that was made to paint plastic)has a flex additive) in it..9 times out of 10 it will chip..just has nuthing to bond to...mind ya if you use a base/clear..and go thik on the clear coat..it will hold up better than the other stuff but your new grille will look much better..you wont be sorry you did..gives it a much more personalized look..and with the mesh..very easy to add a scrpit or emblem...or just leave it...nice choice on the grille..

Here it is

Finally got the grill put on my HHR. A little more bling than i am used to but I like it.

Plan to use with the bow tie, just need it to warm up to get it to stick.

To be honest it doesn't feel much like Dec 20th. We have only had snow once or twice and the temps have been pretty warm. I will say it is much easier to keep the HHR clean in this weather.
