Personally, I would not cut the bumper (no way back), I'd cut the grill & plastic weld it & re-finish it..

Where has the time gone I haven`t posted for 2 1/2 years time to bring this post back to the top.
My HHR is doing great and the grill looks the same as the day I put it on

I scored at the local swap meet today (HHR grill, right headlight, front bumper, hood latch, $20.00 for all) & will be doing the three bar mod on the grill. I'm not crazy about the big bowtie though, & am thinking of removing the center bar with bowtie, & replacing it with the lower bar. They measure the same, so it should work. Before I cut things apart, I'd like to see a picture of this, if anyone else has done it. If not, I'll post some pics when it is done.

The front bumper will be getting smoothed, losing the bumps, fog light holes, insert, & probably some other type of marker lights. I also have a different lower air dam to mount. It is about 2" taller than stock, & will mount right in front of the stock dam.

I'm glad I found these parts, I wanted to do these mods, but didn't want to tie up my daily driver. Its going to be much easier working on these spare parts.
