I never ask anyone what they think because I honestly don't care. As long as I'm happy thats what matters.

Some modifications members do to their rides are pretty cool and look good... now even though I like the way they look, that doesn't mean they would work for me.

Certain mods like window vents, for example are useful mods we will do... replacing the stubby antena, not a useful modification (my opinion only).

I like Harvey's Lamborghini-style doors, and I would consider getting them if a manufacturer offers real Lamborghini doors that stick straight up, a la Lamborghini Murcialago, Countach, etc. so they give you more of an opening so we can enter and exit the car confortably.

We're more interior modification than exterior... that's why it's been 4 months since we got our OEM spoiler from Southern Comfort to actually put it on (other than the fact we haven't found the proper 3M DST at the stores).

Is there a difference between modifications and accessorizing?

I would compare it to as a boob job being the modification, with the piercing and bikini top being the accessories.

well i have to agree that not all are pleasing to the eye. Some could even say that about the woody panel kit on mine?? but i think alot of mods are simply peoples way of showing their individuality which is what makes it that much better!!! for instance i hate lugage racks on any car but if i had one on my hhr you know i would slap a surf board on it even though i live in illinois!!! but thats just me and why they call me the freak!!! LOL

in most cases, i just say nothing at all if i dont like what i see. this site is full of older, more mature (in comparison to my normal sites) people, so i feel as though ripping into people on here is in-appropriate. i like my cars simple and clean, with a few low key modifications. the second i got home from the dealer, i pulled the pin stirpe and door mouldings. all that being said, i think there are alot of hhrs and pt loosers that are WAAAAAY over done.

caddy, im not trying to take anysides or not mentioning any names, but i have to agree with you with some vehicles i have seen on this site. i am not mentioning any names cause it would be rather rude and unfriendly. caddy, some hhrs i have seen are rather, well, "ugly." but everyone has their own taste. like for me, i like the "clean" look. im not into the trash can mufflers and the rally looking, or take off to space bumpers. but some people see "the fast and the furious" movie too much.

The two spoilers don`t compare. They don`t even mount the same.
The spoiler on the HHR is a cosmetic add on, no function, you would have to exceed the vehicles speed for it to work, and it`s a front wheel drive, which further indicates it has no function.
If it worked, it would actually be taking weight off the front by creating downforce on the rear.

Do they help at all in deflecting air so not as much dirt sticks to the rear hatch?
