Just wondering if anyone has painted the grill to match their HHR ?
Mine is satin chrome and I have been thinking about taking mine off and having the majority of it painted Orange to match my HHR .
Not going to paint the entire thing, l want to leave the edge and top alone so it matches the back .
If anyone has painted theirs could you give your and possibly submit photos as inspiration ?
I am just ing around for some low mods to set my HHR apart from the others.

Here is mine (obviously it isn't orange)

I scuffed it up really well, then sprayed it with ACID-8 self-etching primer, then the color.

 

It gives it a much meaner appeal to it when paint matched imho. I think that's why I like th SS editions. A lot of them are paint matched.

 

I love to look... does anyone make these?!? or be willing to make one? I want one so bad but dont have the talent ot time to do it

 

Thanks Putter - I did not know about the self etching primer.

 

Get all the chrome crap off first or use the clear stuff that helps paint stick to poor surfaces. I painted mine, twice.
