I plan on taking out the little yellow reflectors in mine. I haven't looked at our light housings yet to see how hard it will be. When I get the time in the next couple of weeks I am going to look into doing it because I can't stand the reflector. It isn't that hard, a bunch of guys on my old Mustang boards cleared their corners. This is how you do it on a Mustang: http://www.fnsweet.com/garage/clears.shtml . All of the same meathods would apply for opening up the headlights for paint. If I do it to my headlights I'll post a HHR specific how to.

Be careful painting a grill! If you dont do it right, you are going to end up with a grill that has hundreds of chip marks in the paint (and big chunks of missing paint) after about a week of driving.
If you use a metal grill make sure you scuff it up before you paint it, and then prime, paint and clear coat it with automotive paint, not spray cans. If you paint a plastic grill, I would reccomend taking the grill to an automotive paint store and asking them what the best way to paint it is.
Painting is easy, doing it right so that you dont end up with a shiity chipped grill is much harder!

This is true, but the top section is cut from the original so it will have to be sanded and painted to match for the all black look.
