Plz...need pics of black ss with dark pinstripe today or early tomorrow

Hello.

My 08 SS has had a bright silver strip on it since it was originally sold to the 1st owner and I want it removed. The dealer won't pay for another detail when the stiper removes the stripe to polish the finish and if he did that i really don't think it would look right anyway. I've had a black destriped car before and i could always see the shadow..

Could anyone plz post any pics of a black ss with dark grey or flat black stripes so i can see what it looks like? I don't have the money for a detail myself right now and the striper will do new stripew for free for me tomorrow.

At this point going back n forth with the dealer is moot. He's gone above for me multiple times over the years with multiple cars and has with this car already so i can read him when it is at the line.

Thanks

You know, I'm not a big pinstripe guy myself but honestly the silver stripes don't look bad...they pull the chrome/polish out of the wheels. Flat black stripes wouldn't look bad either.

Thanks. I've already carbon fibered the boweties and reflective blacked the SS logos so i'm thinking dark grey or flat black wouldn't look bad. These pics are before I did that but i think it'll give me the idea

I actually think it looks best with the current stripes because it accents your wheels very well. I also misread this originally thinking you meant rally stripes. Oh well.

Thanks! Yeah I just think the bright silver looks white during the day and breaks up the vertical lines too much and actually pulls the stance of the car up visually.

Thanks man!

I actually think black will look best. Lowers the stance, doesn't break up the lines and actually may give a "ghost" stripe effect. Plus, my buddy with a civic told me stripes add about 35whp lol

I'd have the guy pull the stripes off and see if there is a shadow before you have him put new ones on. Like chef, I'm not much of a pinstripe fan (pulling them off was the first thing I did to mine), and black on black seems kinda pointless for such a small detail.

This is the best black on black application I've seen on an SS (If I remember right it was a flat black):
