Polishing

Its alot of hard work and love to do what I have just started. Oh and sore hands and fingers. I am hand polishing the cover for my cams on the 2.2.
It isnt as easy as it sounds. It is alot easier if you can remove your cover while you do this. I started off with 400 grit sand paper. Then worked up to 800 then to 1000. After all is at a nice flat finish take and clean all the dust off. Then take your fav chrome polish and take your time work it. You may have to go over some spots again with 1000 grit to get it nice then polish it again. I will take some pics soon and try to figure out how to put them on here. Sorry no before pics but it does look awsome now. I would assume that it would be easier if you did it with a rotory tool but becarefull because you can dig in more then you need to with that tool. Trust me I know. Thank god it was in a spot no one can see.

The hardest part to do is the ends in the indents. Hands and fingers def get a work out on this one. Best thing is if you are really carefull you can take it off a few times since its a rubber gasket. Oh I used mother polish on it.
