After all that work I DONT THINK SO lol. I also dont like the Airaid system. Few if my buddies tried it on a few dif rides and they said it was the best money they tossed out the window.

One last thing I forgot to do is after the 1000 grit sand paper you need to hit it with the polish 3-4 times then go over it again with 2000 grit paper then yet again hit it with the polish. It will look even brighter

Thanks Scaleguy it was def worth it.
cschhr06 it prob would have been faster just not alot of working area and the metal is kinda soft and if the thing has to high of an rpm on it may end up nicking the metal even with it being only sand paper. I like to do things by hand kinda gives me a better feeling for the metal then with a rotary tool. I know sounds kinda old school. I have polished a few things first by trying with a rotary tool like a dremil but didnt give me a "hands on" feeling if u know what i mean. I did a complete tunnel ram intake by hand and it was by far 30 some odd hours of work to get it to where i wanted it to be. You are def right it prob could have been done with rotory tools but not with this guy :) an old school 31 year old lol

update on CGS intake. Well every one will now be able to see my hard work. I am waiting for my intake to arrive this week and put it on b4 the box hits the ground from shipping lol. This way you can see the polishing job unlike now with the factory crap all in the way. I will take pics as soon as its in and post them.

Yeah but I like the hands on of my self doing it. It was well worth the time and effort. Now next thing to touch up will be the A/C lines just to shine them up alittle. I know its silly but its the little things to set your car apart from the rest :)

I love to do all the work possible to my own vehicles. I take huge pride in things that way. Even if its something no one likes or notices as long as i like it thats all that matters. :) Hey who knows maybe i have just started something new with us nutty HHR owners lol.
