Also, I talked to my brother, who has done bodywork for a couple differant Chevy dealers and he said there is no template, the kit come with 2 markers of some sort you use to mark where to drill. He also said if anyone in the StL area wants one, he'll paint and install for the above mentioned $150.
There is also a tape kit called out for the spoiler. GM #15944342
List: $33.90
Discount: $20.80
I have it ordered along with my spoiler. Another dealer told me it was called out.

Not really sure what is in the kit Karen. Like I had said in my previous post, a parts guy from another chevy dealer that I do business with had to look up the spoiler part# for me. He said the parts view showed a tape kit that is needed for the spoiler install. I am just as curious as you are to find out if the tape is used along with drilling, which I am gona do any way.
I know you researched this subject in much detail and effort.
I guess we will have to wait and see what gets sent to me.
I will keep everyone informed of what I get.

Not knocking anyone but not only are you going to be pissed when your "taped on" spoiler, headlight cover, sun shade, etc. goes flying off cruisin' down the highway, the guy behind you is not gonna be very happy either!

I can always take off the Spoiler and put it on.
And yes my Spoiler is bolted down.
When it comes in and I don't need, I will post that as well.

I don't think the Car manufactures wouldn't be doing this also.. if it didn't work..

I had a Ford Expedition, I added fender flares to it... Guess how they were attached ?? 3M adhesive double back tape.. You have to prep the part and the receiving part properly..

And Note---- My fender flares never flew off...
The factory (Ford) installed them the same way with that type of configuration usage.

All I'm saying is, it happens! Not only with mods, but factory installed pieces too! Keep you eye on the shoulders along the interstate, you'll see! Better safe than sorry.

Well I got my tape kit in today. But I do not need it. Even thru my spioler number was for spoiler without tape, the tape was on it. So if I ever need it I have it. Don't think that I will need it, but was not sure so I ordered it.

So there are two different part numbers, one with and one without tape?
