They are clear coated, so soap and water should work fine. You could always just use any wheel cleaner safe for clear coats also. That is what I do.

I wash mine with soapy water, and then wash them again with soapy water.
then I dry them like they were a painted surface...using a "shammy"...

after they are almost dry, I use a spray on wax-as you-dry from McGuires...I then buff them to a lustre using a microfiber towel.

just pretend they are your hood, or your door...

I also recommend using tire dressing BEFORE finishing your wheels...it saves you from doing your wheels twice.

not the greatest pics, but here's an idea:

before my first cleaning, my wheels almost looked like un-polished aluminum...needing a polishing REAL bad...but after my first detail, they came out looking almost chrome.

My wheels are chrome if that makes a difference, but I use my car wash soap if I am washing the car and use a microfiber towel. Then I use quick detailer and a clean and dry microfiber towel to remove any water spots and get them to shine. Between washings I just use the detailer and microfiber towels. I was told the the terry towels will leave fine scratches behind.

Here is what I do. I took a piece of cardboard and cut a circle the size of my rims and then put a couple of holes towards the center so I can hold it with my fingers up to the wheel and then spray the tire with what ever product I have and that keeps it off the rims. do I win anything for this tip? huh, come on, gotta be worth something.

I use a wax base ( like Mcguiers liquid wax ) on a clean wheel. Then detail with a little spray wax applied to a diaper after washing.

I use a product called system 1 spray wax. The great thing about it is that it can be used on most of your car...paint,glass,vynil,plastic. It can be applied on wet or dry surfaces, although I recommend wet because it seems easier. It will make your car look like you spent hours waxing it. You can check it out for yourself at www.systemoneaps.com
