I believe 1151 is in contract security, and I think he indicated in one post that he is planning to enter law enforcement as a career. Its a noble choice, I have several friends on the police force and I wouldn't trade jobs for a million dollars.

Yes, I am a Contract Security Officer. And, soon to be an Armed Contract Security Officer. Just waiting on Homeland Security and the State of Ohio to get my new ID to me. Plus getting my CCW.

Did you check out Galls Police Equipment? They have the JOTTO mounts, that are universal.

You ought to come down here to Texas the State Police are always looking for Troopers.

The lnk for Galls is http://www.galls.com.

I would love too. But I don't have a degree. And I'm only 22. Don't know if that matters. And I want a desk mount, not a laptop mount. The jotto's are good, but most are laptop mount.

If you do consider Texas get in touch with me, my wife was an ADA in Dallas from 1998-2002. She has plenty of contacts in the Texas DPS and she can give you a heads up. She did say that your decision to join the MP's is an excellent one, and it will provide you with very comprehensive training. Keep up the good work, and have a great day.

1151, once you complete your military service with the MP's you will have met the Texas DPS education requirements. Texas considers MP service as the equivalent of the required 90 semester hours of associate degree education. Most police departments consider military police service to meet their education requirements. But it pays to check with individual recruiting departments.
