rear bumper guard

I know at some time there was some discussion on protection for rear bumper, but without going through all the threads thought I would post. I use my hhr for my upholstery business and have noticed, even though I thought I was carful some scratches on rear bumper from loading and unloading. I saw a gm rubber pad for top of bumper, but does not cover enough. My scratches seem to be right where the bumper rolls over. So the protection needs to lip over the edge about 1 inch. Has any body seen something like this? I remember talk about carbon fiber, alum, stainless look but can't find any info. Thanks Patrick

All of the ones you mentioned were the same size/outline as the GM. Some have spoken of using other materials to lay over the bumper when loading/unloading. But I can't think of anything that covers the area.

I think you may need to try the search function for ideas.

I have a friend who plays guitar in a band and has found that a rubber mat like the ones that cooks stand on in a resturant kitchen works very well for protecting his back bumper while loading and unloading his stuff. I know it's not attached and pretty, but it sure does protect his gate and bumper.

I use a small scatter rug and lay it on top of the bumper with the no slip side toward the bumper. When not in use I just lay it on the floor of the cargo area.

Just use some of that "clear bra" material back there.
