Rear tailgate badges.

Wondering if there is any official documents that show the proper placement for the lettering on the back tailgate of a HHR SS. Just about everyone I've seen the SS is on the right hand side but wondering if there was a set way from the factory. I know that my HHR was repaired and resprayed in the back, prior to me aquiring it, and think the body shop flipped the badges around.

Don't know of any official documents, but most GM parts diagrams will show you where they should be mounted.
Maybe some of the body shop repair manuals show the exact locations they should be attached.
Fwiw. Here's mine. Special ordered, built and delivered new. I took delivery in 2010.

Actually, that picture above was taken just a couple of days ago. The year sticker on the plate does have a 17.

Apparently on a rare (lately) sunny day!

I'm pretty much convinced the body shop put the badges on on the opposite corners. Every picture I've seen so far has the SS on the right hand side, mine is on the left.

I'll have to figure out how to remove them and get them on the correct corners.
