Rear wiper

My rear wiper doesn't seem to work very well, just the tips of the blade touch so the middle of the blade isn't getting any contact with the window, anyone have any suggestions?

No good way to fix it... besides the fact that the WHOLE blade should be touching!!! I (can't recall) believe there's a spring hidden under the arm that creates (blade) pressure on the glass... either try a new 'quality' blade OR a slightly shorter (stiffer) spring!
We all know, however, that the wiper itself itsn't all that effective at doing it's job. None-the-less- it should still smear the dirt across your rear glass evenly!!!

This would work ... if a new "quality" blade were made by the aftermarket for this particular type of arm. Unfortunately, it's so application specific in design, you're forced to go back to the dealer for a replacement because of a proprietary hookup and a design which does not allow the average Joe Sixpack Shadetree-Mechanic to put in a refill. (similar blades are put on the Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Rav4, Toyota FJ ... notice a pattern? I think this was one of those ill-advised carryovers from GM's limited partnership with Toyota.)

Mine was like that until I replaced the blade. Now it works perfect. I wouldn't find a replacement at the auto store either. All of their application guides only list the front because the rear is a one piece unit that you only replace the blade on just like old school windshied wipers. I had to buy the shortest length I could find (16") cut it to the right size and insert the metal guide tracks that came on the factory blade. I'm sure I probably could have got a replacement from the dealership but I probably would have paid more and had to wait for them to order it.

I use mine a lot, well when it rains at least. It works very well for me. Just wish it would travel the whole glass not just 2/3 or so.

mine is the exact same... only "wipes" a small part of the glass, and does miss a wide band of whatever happens to be on the rear window at the time

to get it clean i usually just spray the crap out of the window with the washer fluid and it tends to work.. i use the most fluid on the rear then i do on the front
