Question removing paint from grill

Does anyone know of a paint remover that can be used on the plastic grill?
I'm starting to sand it off, using both my palm sander and Dremel, but the paint just 'melts' and plugs up real quick.

if ur just repainting the grille..scuff it up first..some scotchbrite will work fine..or a medium grit sandpaper,,hit it with a high build up primer..will remove any imperfections...sand again with 800 or more...paint away..you will find your paint will bond to the older paint..better than just the plastic itself..just a helping hint..if u do take it down..dont use chemicals..will eat the material..and when u repaint on bare plastic..put "flex" or adhesion additive in the paint to prevent flaking...

Do NOT use paint remover or stripper on the grille, it WILL melt the plastic. I ended up using a grinder to remove all of the plastic finish. I did notice the plastic bubble up in some area's beforehand. You will be taking a chance on it lifting if you paint over the plastic, not only from weather but also paint reducer.
