removing rear bowtie?

You can remove it and paint it, I used a piece of heavy fishing line and slid it behind it and pulled up and down on the string/line kinda like a saw to cut through the adhesive tape that holds it on.

I removed mine to paint it. Just sticky tape holding it on, so I used sticky tape to put it back.

Depends on where you take it apart..... the whole bowtie including the chrome is held on with 3M tape, and easily removed with fishing line. Just the gold overlay has two bits of tape and some hot glue holding it on, the gold part WILL break easily if not careful....... and the way it's shaped on the back side I don't see how fishing line would work.

I glued the gold overlay back on with Shoe Goo after painting, 3M tape would be too thick IMO.
