Replacement Headrests.. Open Racing Style?

I am seeking a 'Sports / Racing Style' open replacement headrests for my HHR...
My wife is short and due to the solid back seat headrests she has troubles seeing out the back and side of the HHR and I do not want to drive around with 'no' headrests attached to the back seat as there seems to be some confusion by local law officers about 'disabling safety devices' if the headrest is a safety device and if so we could be fine$$ if stopped just as if we were not wearing seat belts....

I wonder if these would work. They are from a Buick Regal GS.

Thats the 'look' that I am looking for....

Or the headrest like these from a custom Grand_Am

I found only 'ONE' of the Regal headrests on eBay.. would need two or four and to get them recovered to match the rest of my grey cloth interior.. or red (to match the car) or white cloth..?

I have sent a few emails with request so will wait and see what type of reply I get...

seems like a universal headrest should be available. They sell universal headrests with monitors, so I dont see why someone wont have racing style headrests.

Well the ones from a Grand_Am do not fit.. the "posts" are about 4" too wide on the ones from a Grand_Am... ...which is a shame as I found one in a local salvage yard that was the same color/fabric as my HHR.

I have also seen a few 'GEO/TRACKER's driving down the road that had the same style/type of headrest but could not tell the size since they was just driving by...

The open headrest is factory for the Geo Trackers/Suzuki Sidekick. That was 15 years ago, so don't know if the Grand Vitara uses similar headrests.

Late 90s Acuras might be a source as well.

I have a 2000 Chevy Impala which has open style headrests. You may be able to get these in a salvage yard as the impala's are popular vehicles. I would check the fit for you but I don't usually see my impala too often, it's parked in a parkade.
