I can appreciate the work in that '57/HHR and it turned out very well but every time I've seen pictures of it something just looks "wrong" .......

it looks 'tubby', like those "Muscle Machines" from a few years back?
taking a normal car and exaggerating it's features to make it look more cartoonish.

have you seen the '55 tail lens fixtures for the HHR?
great idea, but the bolt on makes it look a tad bit cheesy

I am setting cash aside for them.

They could be molded in place, but for awhile they will remain "bolt ons".

I will see what they look like in person once I have them, and then decide if I want to start messing with my Factory Black paint or not.

I was a body and fender combo man/auto painter for about 12 years when I was younger, so doing it won't cost me any labor charges.

We shall see hopefully Soon. They are Costly.

But then again that has kept them from being on every other HHR out there too.

I think 1954 style lights would look better than the 55s

Cool Lil Red Surf Sled

Smacked the front end a month ago. Left replacement hood & bumper cover flat black to match fenders. Getting lighting guy down the street to light up SS grille. Everyone asks where Bowtie Beach is.....just down from Malibu Beach....and Corvette Cove! Riding the Gulf beaches in Paradise!

Did you coat that e coat with black paint or clear coat?
The electro coat likes to absorb moisture and cause rusting

Is that far away in time? Sorry that was Echo Beach!
